The Micro-Reserve of Cephalanthera cucullata is established in the locality Koukouli, Koustogerako, An. Selino, in the western part of Lefka Ori Mts (NATURA 2000, GR 4340008) and encompasses the entire, local sub-population (1 out of 5 in Crete). The total surface of the micro-reserve is 12 ha and occurs at an altitude of 1280-1350 m. The vegetation of the micro-reserve consists of a mixed oak-cypress-maple forest, on rocky terrain.
